TNPBA Division Aubrey GartonAubrey Garton of Olive Hill, Tenn., finished Hardin County High School in May 2025 as valedictorian of her class with a perfect GPA. She was a leader in at least four clubs and had multiple semesters of college credit under her belt.She was a member of a collection of clubs and organizations including: art, English and vocational honor societies, 4-H, FFA, student council, the Central Bank Youth Leadership program, and Hardin County High School VOLS -- a volunteer organization. Through many varied initiatives, she accumulated a staggering 350 hours of community service work during high school. Aubrey also earned additional accolades while exploring other interests like crime scene investigation, drones and criminal justice.Aubrey’s father, Ray, has been in law enforcement for 22 years and serves with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources as a sergeant. He is extremely proud of his daughter. “Aubrey never ceases to amaze me,” he said. “She is driven and determined in everything she does.”Aubrey is enrolled at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she is studying in a field that most college freshmen haven’t considered and maybe haven’t even heard of. “I plan to become an actuary,” said Aubrey. “I plan to major in actuarial science mathematics. I really enjoy math a lot.
